The processing rate changes when the buyer is overseas
An Australian shop pays 3% plus 25c on an order from an Australian buyer, and 4% plus 25c on an order from anywhere else. For most Australian shops the second rate is the normal one, because most of the buyers are not here. The calculator uses the local 3% rate, so if you sell mainly overseas, add roughly one percent of the order to whatever it tells you.
There is no regulatory operating fee here
Etsy charges a regulatory operating fee to shops in the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Italy, Spain and several other countries. Australia is not one of them, so that line does not appear. It is one of the few fee lines where an Australian shop is better off than a British one.
Postage is the line that decides the margin
Every fee above is a percentage of a small number. Postage from Australia to a buyer in the United States or Europe is not, and it is usually the single biggest cost on the order after materials. Whether you charge it or absorb it, put the real figure in, because a guess here moves the answer more than every Etsy fee combined.

How much does Etsy take from a sale in Australia?
On an Australian sale Etsy charges a $0.20 USD listing fee, a 6.5% transaction fee on the item price plus shipping, and payment processing of 3% plus A$0.25 on orders from Australian buyers or 4% plus A$0.25 on orders from overseas. Australian shops are not charged a regulatory operating fee. If the order came through Offsite Ads, add 15% for a shop under $10,000 USD in the last 365 days or 12% for one above it.
Do Australian Etsy sellers pay a regulatory operating fee?
No. Etsy charges the regulatory operating fee only to shops based in certain countries, and Australia is not currently one of them. The countries that do pay it include the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Italy and Spain. Etsy publishes the list on its own help pages and it changes, so check there before relying on it.
Does the Etsy processing fee change for international orders from Australia?
Yes. Etsy charges an Australian shop 3% plus A$0.25 on an order from a buyer in Australia and 4% plus A$0.25 on an order from a buyer anywhere else. The calculator on this page uses the domestic rate, so a shop that sells mostly overseas should treat the figure it gives as slightly optimistic.
