The default processing assumptions are for a US shop. Use your statement or a country calculator to change them for another shop location.

With a 15% fee$0.000.0% margin
With a 12% fee$0.000.0% margin

Why the same product can have two margins

Etsy's ordinary fees do not stay fixed, but an Offsite Ads order adds another percentage of the order total. The difference is not a marketing cost you can ignore after the sale: it is a fee that changes what the order actually kept.

Use the 15% column if your shop made less than US$10,000 in Etsy sales during the previous 365 days. Etsy says the lower 12% rate applies above that threshold; its fee is capped at US$100 per attributed order. Check your own payment account before making a pricing decision.

Useful comparison: if the 15% result is negative, the order did not become profitable because it was advertised. It became a loss with extra volume. A higher item price, a bundle, or a decision not to absorb shipping may be the better answer.
